    1. This woman had impacted my life and I didn't even know it. Biographies aren't really my cup of tea but learning about "Teacher" was definitely worth the time.

    2. What an inspiring person!! What this woman accomplished in a life-time, inspiring Billy Graham, Jim Rayburn (Younglife), and Bill Bright (Campus Crusade) was just a fraction of her work!! Great guidelines for teaching Sunday school, which she called Christ's University!

    3. "What you can see accomplished here is only a fraction of what can be done in your city, if you will just believe in a God who can do the impossible.""Your pupils are not bowls to be filled, but torches to be lighted.""This is our supreme task as Christian educators; to gear youth into Christian service - regardless of what the specific occupation may be - and to encourage the utmost skill in the fulfillment of this service.""Young people, I want you to think about what you are going to do with [...]

    4. This book was not what I expected, but I learned so much from the life of Henrietta! her passion for God's Word, honest prayer, making Godly leaders, love of knowing new cultures are only a few things I so enjoyed reading about. I skipped a few pages here and there when the details were too much, but you can learn a lot about how to run a ministry and so much more from her life. I was also inspired to always seek to know God more intimately. In her 70s she was STILL seeking to walk closer with t [...]

    5. I had heard about Henrietta Mears here and there in reference to Forest Home and as a mentor to some great people, but other than that knew little about her life. Well - now I know. This is a serious and comprehensive biography about a serious and comprehensive woman of God. And seriously inspirational. I felt that the book was a little "clinical" and at the end I knew what Henrietta Mears accomplished, but less about her inner life.

    6. I had never heard of Henrietta Mears before reading this book, so it was interesting to read about her life and all that she accomplished. Much of the book read like a eulogy. I would have appreciated learning more about her challenges as well as accomplishments. That said, the end appendices written by Henrietta herself were incredibly valuable.

    7. If you have a Vision to start "something for God" this book will give you fuel to see vision becoming reality. Faith building!

    8. An amazing woman who pioneered Sunday School, establishing classes for up to6,000 persons in Hollywood - First Presbyterian. Later wrote material and pioneeredthe Gospel Light SS Publications.

    9. The story left its mark, I could just never remember her name. Recently I came across her name & now I'm marking it so I'll be able to remember it should want to look her up.
