    1. This book is a wild ride through life in LA and exploring magical realism. I admit that I'm no fan of Jane Austen, and had only read snippets of Charles Bukowski. The blending of the two leads to unexpected places. It's really hard to review this book. I am kind of stunned I finished it - it felt like the tales could go on forever (in a good way). Many of the chapters left me sitting staring out the window for awhile contemplating what I had just read. This book really got into my head.
