    1. 2nd star given for the term "nugatory extemporization"I don't know where to beginCharles Dickens, early in his writing career, was paid by the wordhence a lot of long but wonderful novels. Part of me wonders if this author has struck a similar deal with her publisher. She has a vast arsenal of five dollar words, and I think her intent was to emulate the style, not only of Georgette Heyer (hence the "puff-guts" and the "dandiprats") but also the Regency genre's patron saint, Jane Austin (hence th [...]

    2. Author Anabelle Bryant is one of the best new voices in historical romance and with UNDONE BY HIS KISS she has cemented her place to my "must read" list. After severe disappointment in the relationship area, Miss Emily Shaw decides to bask in independence by renting her own room and creating the League of Virtuous Equality, where women can learn how to support themselves in their freedom from a male society. Guarding her heart from another scathing ache, Emily has no time to ponder love until the [...]

    3. After Emily Shaw’s father abandoned them, leaving Emily feeling unwanted and her mother with a broken heart that seemed irreparable, Emily devoted her time to her League of Virtuous Equality. A place where “determined women could plan their future and prepare for happily settled spinsterhood without the burden of a man’s interference”. She’d seen first- hand the misery love had brought her mother and refused to repeat the pattern. “Once a man owned a woman’s emotions, the future w [...]

    4. Undone by His Kiss ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ written by Annabelle BryantThis was an absolutely delightful romance. It had all the ingredients of love and humor. Jasper St. David was as he put it a financial advisor. He was quite inventive in selecting his investments and he truly had a knack to make money for his new clients. Emily Shaw was quite the independent woman. She was determined to find her place in society as a woman in a man's world. She decides to form a group called the League [...]

    5. A troubled experience with her Father leaves Emily Shaw determined to live an independent life without relying on the help of men. She lives in London during the Regency period but despite the views of society at that time , she has strong opinions and clear goals. Her vision of equality is flawed as she thinks that any man who offers her help in any way is disrespectful , when she meets Jasper St David she begins to realise that some things can't be done alone. Emily is stubborn and headstrong [...]

    6. BE PREPARED TO START AND FINISH IN ONE SITTING ROMANCEThis is the second book in Anabelle Bryant’s Regency Charms series and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Her characters are brought to life and the readers feel as if they become part of the story, watching from the sidelines. I started reading and couldn’t stop reading this page turner until the very last page. The heroine, Emily Shaw, a lady who loved once and was deeply hurt is determined to mingle among society without restrictions, su [...]

    7. Refreshing and charming!I really enjoyed Anabelle Bryant's new book Undone by His Kiss, her 2nd story in her Regency Charms series. I loved her main characters Emily and Jasper, also her other character, Emily's mother, Bianca. We meet again, some of the characters from her 1st book Defying the Earl. It's the story of a young woman, Emily, who lived a disappointment because of a man she had once loved dearly. Now, she doesn't want to take another chance to love again! She loves her independence a [...]

    8. This book was a lovely and light read about a woman who wanted to be independent due to her past and a man that would do anything to have a place in her independent lifestyle. She never had time for men because of her ambitions in her women's equality group, but the handsome man downstairs certainly made her think twice about a lonesome future. The characters and society were very well done and the author is definitely promising. Not only was a connection found between the main characters, but t [...]

    9. Anabelle Bryant is a brilliant writer. What can I say? I have read 3 of her books now and I think this is my favorite, I say that I think because I loved them all so much, so after reading this series, of which there are two more, we will see!Undone by his kiss is the second book in her Regency Charms series and it is amazing. Of course in most series, we see the reappearance of some of the same characters from the other books. Add to that the landlord of the building is none other than the "paw [...]

    10. First reviewed at Keeper BookshelfA truly independent woman during the Regency Era was a rarity indeed. Not that there were not women who longed for, fought for and eventually achieved independence – the mindset of the time was against them, and the battles were extremely hard fought. But never doubt that there were ladies of every social level who wanted, worked toward and found their own independence on their own terms. As a side thought – if it weren’t for our brave, stubborn and indepe [...]

    11. Undone by His Kiss is a little out of my reading comfort zone, but I am SO glad I stepped out of my comfort zone, because I really enjoyed it. Although it’s the second book in the Regency Charms series, it can be read as a standalone (which is what I did). It tells the story of Emily Shaw, a young woman scarred by men and therefore determined to assert her independence. To do this she sets up The League of Virtuous Equality, whilst also trying to care for her heartbroken mother. At the start o [...]

    12. This is book 2 in the Regency Charmes series.Determined to never marry because she would end up having to give up her independance, Emily Shaw rents a room to hold meetings of her Women's League. She never counted on being attracted to the downstairs tenant.Jasper St David is just trying to make a go of his new business. He definitely didn't have time to be distracted by his beautiful upstairs neighbor. Learning that Emily is determined not to allow a man to distract her from her future, Jasper [...]

    13. Jasper and Emily meet for the first time when she is gathering the members of her suffragette type organization on the sidewalk in front of his newly opened office. The meeting is not friendly for Jasper is in high dungeon thinking that the gaggle of women will drive away his potential clients. Emily sets him straight as to the public area of the sidewalk and Jasper is quite chagrined at his ungentlemanly demeanor. Of course this is just the first of many meetings since Emily’s organization re [...]

    14. I enjoyed Annabelle Bryant’s book with a strong independent female heroine ,Emily Shaw and the investment guru Jasper St. David, the brother of an Earl who is very prideful about his brother being in “trade”. Emily loves her independence and is fortunate enough to have the wealth and means to remain unmarried and independent. She has suffered disappointment once before and is determined to not let that happened again so she establishes a group of women, known as the League of Virtuous Equa [...]

    15. 3 stars! ***Emily Shaw is a feminist and even founded the League of Virtuous Equality. Her father left her a big amount of money and she's able to afford to rent a place for their meetings. That's where she meets Jasper St. David who rents place at the same building. He just started his own company - Inventive Investments. His brother is an earl and has high expectations of Jasper. Those two meet and argue a lot. It only makes him want her more. And it makes him kiss her.Emily has a lot of emotio [...]

    16. *** I received an ARC from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.***I truly enjoyed reading Undone by His Kiss by Anabelle Bryant. I like reading about the character of Jasper St. David and his love interest Emily Shaw.Jasper’s major struggle was his unsupportive older brother, Dash. He was continuously trying to seek his brother’s approval. Jasper wanted to be successful so that Dash would accept him for who was and respect him for what he does, no matter what.Emily h [...]

    17. Anabelle Bryant amazes once again!!The second installment in the Regency Charms series, Undone by His Kiss will have you sighing with exquisite delight. Now, you'll love the hero and heroine Jasper and Emily, the HEA and all the juicy characters and twists in between, but this book will make you want to fall in love all over again. After saving his brother the Earl of Dashwood from certain doom by his creative invention, the mouse trap, second son Jasper decides to open up his own business, a bu [...]

    18. This is the second book in the "Regency Charms' series. I will say I haven't read the first book yet (just bought it after reading this one!), so for me this was a stand alone book But I loved having this book so much I had to get the other one! This book had humor, love a strong women and a man not able to resist. Our heroine, Emily Shaw is a very independent women for her time. It is Emily's choice to be so after a matter of the heart turned out badly. Now with the money her father has left he [...]

    19. Book 2 of the "Regency Charms" series, but can read as a stand alone. Fast paced. A romantic but complex tale of love and passion. Well written. The characters are charming, engaging and interesting. The storyline is unique, complex, entertaining and interesting. Another must read, a definite keeper. I loved the H/H, their romance was, well, complex and compelling. An enjoyable and satisfying read.*Received for an honest review from the publisher through Net Galley*Rating: 4.5Heat rating: MildRe [...]

    20. This is she second book in the Regency Charms series, and I can honestly say I liked it more than the first book. It's cute, adorable, sometimes sexy, but overall it left an AWWW feeling. I know Anabelle was aiming for my sexy feels, but she missed the mark. I still enjoyed it.I'm guessing the short, fat man, the cat, and the charm bracelet will continue to pop up in subsequent books. I'm reading book two, and will post that review tomorrow.

    21. This book was brilliant. Each character, whether secondary or main felt important to the plot, the setting was incredibly detailed and luxurious. Emily wasn't seen as a meek, mild mannered woman, but was as equally strong and fiery as Jasper. My only criticism is that I wish it was longer! But overall, Bryant created a rich tapestry of a story, intricately woven with each line in the novel and made a superb historical romance novel .

    22. Another great little romantic tale skillfully threaded together by Ms. Bryant. Although she writes from an era long past, her characters have an ageless cast to them. She has picked at scab of unhealed wounds, only to show the healing that true love has to offer. Her inventive little ploy about Emily's name was pure genius. Five well deserved stars Ms. Bryant, keep them coming

    23. Jasper puts his woman's wants and needs before his own, “would you like more kisses, Miss Shaw?” It was a ridiculous question. His breeches were tighter than a vise with no release in the damn near future, but he would never disappoint her now or ever." I liked this book, I loved Jasper.

    24. I thought the heroine was going to be a strong female lead, and instead I found her whiney and annoying. And Jasper had no depth for me. boring. Forgettable book.
